What's Up Doc?

E and I had our very first Doctor visit today and as you can probably guess from the picture we got some good news. It's really official now. E is pregnant! Our Doctor gave us a due date of April 17th give or take a couple of weeks in either direction. After she took one look at us she determined that we're going to have a big, long baby. You should have seen/heard E's reaction.

The Doctor gave us some baby instructions too. Pretty basic stuff for the most part. Drink lots of water, eat 5 meals a day, take your vitamins, increase calcium intake from natural sources (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.), no smoking and little to no alcohol consumption for the mother (Fathers are free to drink as much as they like). I figure babies have been being born since before there were doctors so Mother Nature is pretty much directing this show.

What a crazy, wonderful while at the same time terrifying feeling. All I want is to be a good husband and father. Not to mention the fact that I've got this strange urge to call a life insurance agent.
