Heartbeats and Headquarters

Today marked another visit to the Doctor's office. We now have to go see the Dr. every two weeks until mid-March then we'll go on a week-to-week basis until Baby White arrives in April.

Up until now the Dr. visits have become a bit routine, but not today. Not only did we get a chance to hear the baby's heartbeat, which was very strong according to our Doc (I've included it for your listening pleasure), but I got a chance to feel Baby White's head! Now I know I say crazy a lot, but this was crazy, amazing and unreal. The doctor showed me how to take my index finger and thumb and run it down the side of E's belly to find the head. At the bottom of E's belly I got to squeeze and sure enough I could feel a round orange-shaped object just below E's belly button. Needless to say I think I have a new hobby for the next few weeks.

The baby has actually flipped over and his head is now pointed downward. Baby White could shift over the next few weeks, but hopefully he/she will continue to point downward until BDAY. 36 weeks is the cut off period otherwise the hospital may have to manually flip the baby, but let's hope that isn't needed.

Baby White is still moving around like a champ, but according to the Dr. and those gurus, Baby White's movements will decrease because he/she is quickly running out of space in E's uterus.

We have our first Birthing Class tomorrow morning so wish us luck. It's getting real.
