First things first NJ is fine. The other day she took a tumble down a flight of stairs at the babysitters. It happened in a split second and it wasn't anyone's fault.
I've said it before, but when we set out to create this blog we wanted it to serve as a place where people can learn from our experiences in parenthood. Well we just learned a huge lesson. That lesson is no matter how careful you think you are and no matter how many precautions you take bad things will still happen. What's important is learning from your mistakes and trying not to re-live them.
I honestly have to say that I have never gone through such a range of emotions in my life. Over the course of a few minutes I experienced the emotions of fear, anger, worry, sadness and relief that NJ was OK. I won't even bring up what E went through.
We took NJ to the pediatrician who gave her a clean bill of health. No broken bones, no concussions. Just her very first black eye. Apparently babies are resilient creatures and fortunately for NJ she inherited her father's hard head.

Hello All! I am glad to see that you are still keeping with this. I try to look at it every week to start off on a good attitude. I cannot wait until the first christmas pics. I will be in the office over the holidays, and I will of course be checking this site for those famous first Christmas pics. I have that you all have a great holiday and enjoy this time.
Brooks at 10 still believes but is a bit questionable. There are about 4 or 5 kids in his class that still believe, heck, I still believe! I am sure that next Christmas will be quite different.
Love, Happiness and Good Health to you all! Kathleen K:)
Those pictures could not have been more perfect if she was old enough to know how to pose. I love the pouty face - hilarious!!! But seriously, I am glad she is OK. Kids are so tough! -
