What's crazy about it is that the house is like a M*A*S*H unit. I can't remember a time when E and I were sick at the exact same time plus NJ is in the mix too. NJ was coughing and crying for a good part of the night which earned her a one way ticket to Mom and Dad's bed.
E and I have learned another important lesson over the past few days. One that new parents and future parents should take note of. Existing parents...You guys can just sit back and laugh at us. What we've learned is that there's nothing harder for E and I as seeing NJ sick. The only thing we want to do is comfort her and believe me...if we could take the sickness from her and put it onto ourselves we would do it in an instant. In the meantime we'll just keep on taking her to the doctor's office.
So once again E and I have gained a glimpse of what our parents went through when we were sick. I always thought it was overkill the way my Mom hovered over me and checked on me again and again while I slept. Now it makes a whole lot more sense.
Believe it or not NJ will be 9 months old on the 9th of January. We took her in for her 9 month check up and she weighed 21 lbs and 12 oz. She was 29 1/4" long. She got her Hep B shot and got checked for lead. All in all she received a clean bill of health.
I've attached some pictures of the little one and Mom spending some quality time together.
Enjoy !
