****Due to the recent outcry from our adoring fans we have censored today's entry, but we still think you'll get the point****
When we started out doing this blog (August marked our 3 Year Anniversary) we wanted it to be a true representation of everything that we were going through as parents in hopes that it might help other parents and would be parents. I think that it has also served parents who's children have long since left the nest as a means of remembrance of both the fun and not so fun times of being a parent. E and I truly hope that everyone continues to enjoy sharing in the growth and experiences of our two beautiful daughters. That being said, I truly feel like we would be doing everyone a huge disservice if we just reported the fun stuff without reporting the nitty gritty details of parenthood. Which brings me to the subject of today's topic... POTTY TRAINING!
Some of you know that we've been engaged in trying to teach NJ how to go to the bathroom on the potty over the past few months. For the most part she gets it as far as going Number 1 is concerned. A few mornings ago she actually told us that she had to go potty, proceeded to remove her PJ's and diaper, got on the bathroom toilet and went all by herself. She even wiped and flushed. In the beginning we would bribe her with M&Ms and then marshmallows, but now she's 60/40 without any coaxing. On the flip side she is virtually nowhere when it comes to handling Number 2. She just hasn't shown any interest in going on the potty when it comes to doing the chunky chocolate deed.
I'm here to tell you that as of tonight that has all changed. Without any prompting, this evening NJ told me that she had to go potty, proceeded to get undressed and out of her diaper and cut loose. Her first Number 2 by herself! E was out at a book club meeting, but I made a point to send her the snapshot of the event. I thought it only fair to share the good news with everyone so with no further ado I present...
POOP ON A POTTY!

I've been told by a few people that at some point I'm going to have to stop doing the blog due to the embarrassment that it might bring my daughters when they get older and for the protection of their privacy. I'm here to tell to you that's going to be really hard because this kind of stuff is way too fun. Now where the heck is the Lysol!
Take care everyone!
