Family Connections

There is some great news coming from my side of the family. Baby White is going to have a cousin who is his or her exact age, courtesy of my brother M and my sister-in-law K. I personally think this is the coolest, since I always wanted a cousin who was my age. My brother is the closest relative in age to me, but what fun is that when you are little? I did get to pal around with two of my girl cousins....hi G and JA.....both of whom are a couple of years younger than I, so it wasn’t a total loss. But, I will confess, I’m jealous when I look at some of my younger cousins who are all the same age and see how much fun they have together. Needless to say, I was so excited when I heard the baby news. D and I are looking forward to lots of play dates with the two little ones. My brother’s great cooking will make getting together that much easier!

Here’s a picture of the “kids” from this summer. At the top are K and M: the parents-to-be. Then, the two of us: the other parents to be. At the bottom are my other brother T and his wife MKO. D mentioned to T and MKO that they should just go ahead and make it a trifecta of grandkids for my parents, but they weren’t having any part of it....maybe in a few years.
