The day started off ordinarily enough. E and I slept in until about 9:30 to take advantage of the last few weeks of being D.I.N.Ks (Double Income No Kids). I actually got up a bit charged this morning because Sunday is "Work on the Nursery Day" So after a little breakfast and conversation, E and I hopped in the mobile and headed off to find that perfect rocker that I've been talking about. Our travels took us back to Lullaby Baby in Columbia, MD. Lullaby Baby is the same store where we bought our crib a few weeks ago. We both have nothing but positive things to say about the store and their service. Last time I was there I actually spied a rocker that was nice...real nice. It was a Dutalier Intermezzo model which doubles as a rocker and a recliner. You can customize it by choosing the type of upholstery and leg wood finish. E wanted microfiber and fellas you know I wanted the leather. So ultimately E and I let the salesperson make the decision. She recommended leather for durability and cleaning purposes. Just like that I was up sold without even realizing it. We ended up picking out a really cool brown textured leather for the chair and in 8-10 weeks Baby White will have the perfect rocker for his/her feeding pleasure. The great thing about the rocker is that it will have a life in our home well after Baby White is feeding himself/herself. Here's a picture.

Not For the Faint of Heart.
Okay guys...the next paragraph is not for the faint of heart. Just remember that I did it for the fam.
Saturday night actually took us out to our favorite weekend hangout spot again... Babies R Us. If you remember, I went with the Alphabet Collection by Cocalo for the nursery's decor. Knowing that I had to get curtains for the room to create the perfect sleep chamber for Baby White I opted to buy the Alphabet valance.

Now we all know that once you get the valance you have to have curtains that match the valance so we found these great curtains at Target. One thing lead to another and the next thing you know we're buying curtain rods and matching curtain tie back rods. If that wasn't enough we stumbled onto the perfect rug which really compliments the room's overall decor. I won't even mention the light plate I bought.

Who would of thought that Dave White would be buying curtains and rugs and enjoying every minute of it. I've included some pictures for everyone's enjoyment because I'm sure Baby White isn't going to know the difference.
