Ready, Set, Go!

E and I had another jam packed, fun, family and friend filled weekend. This was the weekend of E's baby shower and boy did we clean up! E had a few of her friends down for the shower. One of her friend's husband also came down so the two of us ended up hanging out for most of the day on Saturday. We also had the second half of our birthing class on Sunday. I imagine it isn't going to get any slower from here on out.

As you can see from the picture we really got a lot of stuff for the baby this weekend.

We're fairly set on baby stuff with the exception of the baby seat and diapers. If the baby were to come tomorrow we feel like we'd be prepared. The overwhelming feelings E and I are having these days are ones of gratitude and thankfulness. E and I are truly blessed to have such great friends and family.

So we got lots of great presents as you can see by the pictures. We also received special surprises from both my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law. E's grandmother gave us an extra special gift.

A crocheted blanket for the baby. E's mom also gave me an extra special surprise. Baby White's career as a Redskins fan is getting an early jump start because of my M-I-L skills with a needle and thread.

I also did some work on the nursery this weekend. We got some framed artwork from art.com which I just got around to hanging up this weekend. I kept with the animal and dark wood theme. Take a look and let me know what you think.
