Final Countdown...

As you can imagine E and I are busily getting ready for Baby White's arrival and enjoying our last days of not having children. We spent the day yesterday practicing with our new car seat and trying to get the house ready for baby. It looks like the family is planning on descending on the city tomorrow. It seems more like a military operation than the birth of our first child.

E and I had to visit the hospital today in order to get prepped for tomorrow. The hospital staff was great. We met our nurse, the anesthesiologist and a doctor checked to see if Baby White was still breech and he/she is. They drew some blood from E and gave us all the details of what to do tonight and tomorrow as well as what to expect. It's crazy how much stuff you have to remember to do for a natural process that been going on since humans hit the scene over 40,000 years ago. I won't bore you with all the stuff, but believe me it's a lot.

So tomorrow morning we have to be at the hospital at 9:30. E will get the epidural and our doctor will attempt another version. Apparently our doctor has "Magic Hands". If she can turn Baby White we'll then check to see if E's cervix is ready for delivery. If it is, they'll induce. If not, we'll be sent home to let nature takes it's course.

So the plan is to have the baby tomorrow. For those of you who may want to visit E, me and Baby White in the hospital there are a few things that you need to know. First, for the next few days Baby White is actually going to be Baby Fialcowitz and I'm going to be Daddy Fialcowitz. I've always thought that E and I were a progressive couple, but this proves it. Since E has all of her medical information listed in her maiden name, the hospital is going to identify us as Fialcowitz until we fill out the birth certificate. So if you come looking for us ask for Fialcowitz first, White second

You can visit the hospital's website for complete directions and parking instructions. I'm not going to list the hospital for privacy purposes, but anyone who knows us should be able to figure it out.

Thanks for everyone's support and love over the past few months. If you can remember, please include E and Baby White in your prayers tonight.
