I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent the weekend traveling to Daytona to visit my Mom and a very sick Grandmother. All in all it was a good trip. My brother and sister also came down so it was good to see everyone and my Mom's new place in sunny FL. It was hard to leave E and NJ, but some times you gotta do what you gotta do.
However one of the highlights of my weekend was receiving the picture of NJ and Grammy J above. If you know E's family, the picture will make perfect sense. If not, here's a little backgrounder for everyone else.
E comes from a long line of women who love to sew and that's probably even understating the case. They love to make quilts, curtains, clothing, etc. If it's got fabric in it then they've probably made it. E's Mom actually made E's wedding dress, a quilt for our bed and has even managed to keep me in underwear over the past 5 years and that's doing something.
So this weekend it looks like the torch was passed on to NJ. Let's hope she gets as much enjoyment out of it as her Great Grandmother, Grandmother and Mom do.
